前言: 去到墨爾本出名塗鴉嘅 Hosier Lane，欣賞唔同塗鴉之餘，我亦希望有機會訪問塗鴉藝術家，或者係早上嘅緣故，當日只有一位藝術家係到塗鴉緊，我主動上前同佢傾下計。

1. Can you share with us your background in graffiti creation?

Art is my job and graffiti is one of the aspects I’m working on.

I have now resumed working on graffiti creation for a year. I did it 10 years ago and I stopped for a while. A guy from Holland was working for an art job and he invited me to join and this is how I resumed graffiti creation. Though I stopped for a while, I can tell my love of graffiti is deep inside my heart.

2. What do you love best about graffiti creation?

The size of the area that I can create. The smell of the paint and the medium.

Graffiti creation may not be the same as drawing as you have proper sketch for the latter. Graffiti creation has to be done very quickly like 1-2 days and that can be a pressure. I like the pressure as it helps to take the best out of me and I don’t procrastinate.

3. What’s people’s perception towards graffiti in Melbourne?

Actually I only arrived 4 days ago. I’m from Holland and I will be staying in Australia for working holiday for a year.

Graffiti is very common in Melbourne and there are a few legal areas for creation. Sometimes artists are paid to do nice graffiti work on the wall.

4. Have you set any target for yourself on art creation in Melbourne?

As I said graffiti is only one aspect I’m working on and there are other stuff I want to achieve too, like live painting in which I do my creation with live music and light.

I work on T shirt with my own design too. I hope I can look for screen printers to produce my own T shirts.

5. Why do you decide to come to Australia?

I always think we should not stay in the comfort zone for too long, we should dig into something new.

To me art is a therapy and it’s a chance for me to learn new stuff. It is also a way for me to express myself. If I don’t work on my art for a week, I will get crazy.

6. Can you share with us your motto in art creation?

We face a lot of struggles in life and I like to express these struggles through art. I will just start and see how the artwork goes.

I want to keep doing it and at the same time want to learn something about business too. Business is an art too. I want to work on my art and at the same time earn a living.

後記: 訪問當日我有同 Nway 分享香港 graffiti 嘅情況。臨走前 Nway 問我呢幾日仲係唔係墨爾本，因為佢夜晚就會完成作品。大概兩個小時後，我見到 Nway 已經係 Instagram post 左自己嘅作品，究竟佢係墨爾本嘅第一個作品係點，快啲 instagram search “enwayshit” 睇下啦
